The story behind the art
“Flowers have been my lifelong muses. Growing up surrounded by the stunning, wildlife-filled gardens of my mother and aunts, I spent my childhood pressing blooms and brewing rose petal perfume in jam jars. Gardens have always been magical sanctuaries to me. As I wrote in one of my poems, "I’d rather have flowers on my pillow, than rocks on my fingers." Diamonds and gold hold no appeal; instead, a simple, hand-picked bunch of wild daisies opens my soul just as their petals unfurl the sunlight. This deep-rooted passion for botanicals is the lifeblood that flows through all my creative work, weaving together my poetry, floristry, and botanical paintings” - Lou
