I am just entering my fourth year of living afloat. Living on a small boat forces a mindset of minimal, intentional living which directly enhances your interior design skills for clients. It hones your ability to maximize functionality, utilize every inch of space and create clutter-free, breathable spaces without sacrificing comfort. Boat life certainly comes with its fair share of daily challenges, but the unique rewards make it entirely worth it, especially during the warmer months. When nature awakes, being completely immersed in her means you get a gentle nudge to awaken too. I have never experienced the rhythm, pace, and flow of the natural world quite like this before.

Living here keeps me constantly inspired. To sit and watch the visiting water birds as the sun dips into rippling water, tinting its depths with its golden brushstrokes, is such an immersive experience.

Watching the ducklings, cygnets, and cootlings grow daily is a privilege in itself. But the sky is my ultimate guilty pleasure. To observe the vast canvas of ever-changing light from sunrise to sunset simply blows my mind. This constant shift in colour and mood has such a positive impact on my life. My floating art studio is in the womb of Mother Nature, attuned to her heartbeat, it's the pulse that keeps me creating.
